Digital Radiography
Digital radiography is used to detect decay, bone loss, tooth fracture, help with root canals. To take a digital x-ray we place a digital sensor (Sirona) instead of a film, on the tooth.
Because the process is very fast the amount of radiation used is minimal. The image is exposed on the monitor so the use of chemicals is eliminated. Once the image is present on the screen we can adjust the contrast, brightness and size to be able to find even the smallest area of decay.
